Here’s a story for you: I will leave you to assess its importance yourselves, as I think the following headline summarises it beautifully:
“Menezes chief inspector sacked after ‘boasting on dating site he had sex with 14-year-old boy’” (courtesy of the Daily Mail, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2061684/Scotland-Yard-chief-inspector-John-Duffy-sacked-sex-boy-14-boast.html).
You can read it yourself, but here’s the gist: Chief Inspector of Met Police goes on dating site trying to seduce a bunch of strangers – in the words of the article, ‘It was revealed that Duffy had used his position to advertise himself online in an attempt to meet sexual partners while in uniform.’ Arrested, sacked, IPCC investigation, slapped wrist, and told not to be a naughty boy. Is this what the Chief Inspectors of the Metropolitan Police get up to in their spare time? No wonder we can’t find out what was said in the phone call made by Dr Fleur Fisher to the Metropolitan Police informing them of my sister’s death on 29 June 2005 – the Met Police obviously have more important matters to deal with!
